A BIBLICAL ANSWER by Tony Wright

 Critical to any Christians’ Spiritual understanding is to understand what will happen in the last days. Many people have opinions on the subject and on Scripture in general. What we need to decide up front is, who is right, is it the Bible or what men say? Is Scripture our final and only authority, or only when we feel like it? Are we entitled to interpret Scripture according to new psychological, “scientific” and sociological “revelation”?

 2 Tim 3: ¹⁶All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: ¹⁷That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

This verse tells us that Scripture IS THE WORD OF GOD, it alone can lead us, not only into some good works, but into ALL good works and into PERFECTION in God’s eyes. The Bible is therefore our Final and Only authority, especially when it comes to topics that are so-called “controversial”. Perfection (acceptability before God) can only be attained by following the Word of God, not church tradition, nor the traditions of men and certainly not by the inventions of the world.

 Heb 13: ⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. 9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings.
Because Jesus is the same forever, the Word of God is the same forever – God NEVER changes and therefore, the Word NEVER changes. Anyone who doubts that the Word written in those times is not applicable to today, or tries to adapt it’s teaching to suit modern-day psyche and sociological “norms”, doubts the Power of the Holy Spirit in conveying His perfect and complete message through the Word of God, to ALL people FOR ALL time. It was the Holy Spirit who inspired the authors of the Bible to write what they did – perfectly, by His direct inspiration and intervention!  People who do this then, are blaspheming the Holy Spirit, by denying His complete revelation of Truth. Is it at all possible that the INSPIRATION OF GOD is lacking in some way, that makes His Word changeable?? Pure Blasphemy.

 Luke 18: ¹⁶ But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  ¹⁷ I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

How is it, that little children can understand the Word of God to mean exactly what it says? Ask a child to read Lev 18, Lev 20 and Romans 1, and you will get the real meaning of what God has to say on the issue of same-sex relationships!

 Bearing the above in mind then, on the end-times there are many opinions, but whose opinions ultimately count?

The Messiah Jesus spoke extensively on this subject and His warnings are clear and critical:

Matt 24: ³ As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” ⁴ Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.  ⁵ For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.  ⁶ You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.  ⁷ Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  ⁸ All these are the beginning of birth pains. ⁹ “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.  ¹⁰ At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,  ¹¹ and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.  ¹² Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,  ¹³ but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.  ¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

We are warned 35 x in the New Testament alone, “beware that no-one deceives you” – why? Because MANY will come in my name (Pastors, priests and ministers) and WILL deceive MANY. During these times, MANY will turn away from the One true faith of the simple Gospel that is Jesus Christ; MANY False prophets and teachers will appear and WILL deceive MANY. Because of this, v12: the love of MOST will grow cold – notice that this is MOST, not some, but MOST! 

 Jesus Himself confirms this in Luke 18: ⁸ I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
Jesus asks a rhetorical question, intimating that when He comes back, it will be difficult for Him to find true faith anywhere on this earth! This, by implication rules out most of the large Denominational churches of the modern age – surely there will be a faithful remnant within every community and denomination that will be true believers that base their faith solely on the Word of God, and therefore will be saved; but it is a damning indictment on modern day “Christianity” in general. This is critical to understand, since it affects our very salvation.

Another important warning that Jesus Himself left us, was this one, in which He uses 2 arbitrary examples of washing hands and of honouring parents to illustrate His point:
Matt 15: ³ Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?  ⁴ For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.’  ⁵ But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’  ⁶ he is not to ‘honor his father’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.  ⁷ You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: ⁸ ”‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. ⁹ They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’”

In Colossians 2: ⁸ See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

Human tradition, church tradition, psychology and philosophy based on the rules of men, are absolutely and totally worthless in God’s eyes – in fact, those following these precepts of men are warned that they worship … .. in vain!

Matt 7: ²¹ “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  ²² Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’  ²³ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Yet a further warning is found in 2 Tim 4: 2 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.  ³ For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.  ⁴ They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

 This is further confirmed in Revelation 3, where the past, present and future of the church is prophesied. The last days church is the church of Laodicea, which means “people’s voice”. This church is lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, heaping teachers unto themselves to say what the people want to hear, not what they should be hearing. These are comfortable Christians – Christianity with a compromise, Christianity that only believes in the Word of God when it SUITS them! Notice that this church is rich, having need of nothing, but Jesus sees it as wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. Why? Because they have turned away from the Truth that is the Word of God. Notice too, that Jesus is on the OUTSIDE, knocking on the door pleading for entrance!

The move today is towards a “psychologized” Gospel, where things written to the church for ALL ages, are no longer relevant and applicable to the church of today, because socially and psychologically they are unacceptable and “politically incorrect”. Tolerance takes precedence over what God says.

Psychology is mere speculation that really cannot be proved – it is unbiblical in the extreme – (“they will turn aside to myths”). Psychiatry, on the other hand, is from God – where truly mentally ill patients are treated with the means that God has provided mankind with. Psychology is a great victory of Satan, where the speculation and vain imaginations of men have been made into a “science” – nothing could be further from the truth:

In Secular psychology, much of the focus is on SELF (self-esteem, self worth, self-acceptance, self-love)
ie - you have to love yourself first in order to be able to love others. This is a fundamentally flawed concept, since Ephesians 5: 29 tells us: "²⁹For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church:" The Bible knows that EVERY man loves himself automatically, otherwise man wouldn't even feed himself. There is NO MAN that does not love himself. Why then do they need to teach self-esteem, self-worth? Further to this is the commandment by Christ Himself to love our neighbours as we love ourselves. It is ASSUMED as a fait-accomplit that we already LOVE OURSELVES!
Yet the “greater witness” of the entire Bible is to DIE TO SELF, the entire theme of Colossians is DIE TO SELF, suppress the flesh, cut sin off and out of your life, love not the world nor ANYTHING in it - what then are the teachings of Psychology?

Psychology (and also now the Methodist church?) teaches

DRUGS - anti-depressants;
PSYCHOANALYSIS, HYPNOTHERAPY, SENSITIVITY TRAINING, GROUP THERAPY; ETC.-

These teachings are SATANIC.

The Bible teaches that ALL our problems stem from.... SIN. 
The Bible teaches that the answer to ALL OUR PROBLEMS is FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST-

"Wherefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."  
2 Corinthians 5:17.

The Bible teaches that the Gospel is the belief that Jesus Christ died for our sins, that if we believe in Him, if we repent of our sins and are born again, we receive the gift of eternal life. This is all based on the premise that God loves each one of us, and because of His love for us, He desires that we come to repentance and belief, which will lead to a New life born again in the Holy Spirit, by which we live -  the Word of God. The Word says that we are to love the Lord with all our hearts and to love our neighbours as we do ourselves – how is this Biblical Love then?
Does it mean that we should tolerate sin, accept sin all in the name of love?

Does it mean that we “are required to be a community of love rather than rejection”, as the Methodist document puts it?

NO!! It is obvious Christian doctrine (the milk of babies) that Christianity means living a life loving and serving others, but if the Bible says that we are to reject something or someone, then WE MUST REJECT IT! No amount of fudging the issue can hide the unmistakeable sin involved here.

The love of the Bible IS:

1. loving the Lord above EVERYTHING else by FOLLOWING HIS WORD, and
2. loving someone else (your neighbour) enough to see them through to salvation and eternal life.
   
   Whatever it takes is what we need to do to love that person towards their salvation. It does not mean that we can willy-nilly sweep under the carpet major doctrinal principles of the Bible!

 NOTHING ELSE MATTERS AS MUCH AS A PERSON’S SALVATION, THEIR RECONCILIATION TO CHRIST JESUS, not by our standards, but by the standards of Christ Himself, His Word, the Bible.

 To summarize then, according to the Word of God:

1. The Bible is our final and only authority on matters of faith and CONDUCT.
2. Human/church traditions are worthless and should not be trusted.
3. Human philosophy and psychology are unbiblical (and unscientific) precepts/rules of modern man – the greatest psychology manual ever written is the Book of Proverbs.

 Having laid this foundation then, let’s examine:

 

WHAT IS HOMOSEXUALITY, WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

 God created Man and woman, genetically 2 separate entities, who would leave their parents and be joined as one in marriage, which remains one of the greatest blessings in the Bible. There were NO creations in between man and woman, no variations “in sexuality”, nor in “orientation” – no such provision is made for in Scripture or anywhere else, except in the vain imaginations of heathen psychologists – such a notion is blasphemous against the Creator Himself; would God be capable of making a mistake?

 2 Thess 2: ⁹Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ¹²That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Because they love not the truth, GOD deludes them Himself into thinking that their sexual orientation is acceptable – but as He says Himself, this is a LIE and they will all be damned because of it.

 Romans 1: ¹⁸ The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness,  ¹⁹ since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.  ²⁰ For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
All men know plainly that there is a God, they have no excuse!

 ²¹ For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.  ²² Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools  ²³ and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. ²⁴ Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.  ²⁵ They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

The Methodist document states on page 26:
“the specific causes of homosexual orientation remain unclear, although various scientific(???) theories exist”. A suggestion would be for them to read their Bibles - Sexual impurity is a JUDGEMENT FROM GOD, not from Satan, nor anyone else, but from GOD Himself!

²⁶ Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.  ²⁷ In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

 Homosexuality is, according to the Word of God: “shameful”, “unnatural”, “indecent” and “perverted”.
Homosexuality is, according to the Word of God, A JUDGEMENT FROM GOD HIMSELF.

What is the penalty for their perversion, for unrepentant homosexuality?
DEATH in HELL, as is the penalty for ANY unrepented sin.

 Anyone who even thinks differently or that God may have changed His mind, is obviously and clearly biblically illiterate - devoid of the truth and NOT WORTHY TO TEACH!

 ²⁸ Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.  ²⁹ They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,  ³⁰ slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;  ³¹ they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.  ³² Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Nothing could be clearer! God’s JUDGEMENT on homosexuality extends past their depravity into … wickedness, evil, greed, envy, murder, strife etc etc etc . This is a warning specifically to the churches who have accepted the abomination of homosexuality into the “church” – “they approve of those who practice these things”!

 2 Tim 3: But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.  ² People will be lovers of themselves [Paul predicted both Psychology and homosexuality in one phrase!], lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,  3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,  4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—  5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. [Our instructions on this matter are clear:] Have nothing to do with them. ⁶ They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires,  ⁷ always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.  ⁸ Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.

This is talking to the very people who are considering the change to accept homosexuality into Christianity today – they are “men of depraved minds”, who are and will be, REJECTED, not according to me, but according to the Word of God.

Romans 16 talks exactly on what should be done when we see this happen: ¹⁷Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Condoning homosexuality IN ANY FORM is totally against God’s Word – against the doctrines of God; therefore we have to MARK THEM who teach these perversions or allow them to be circulated.
MARK THEM, AVOID THEM, LEAVE THEM.

 We have further instructions in this regard: 2 Cor 6: ¹⁴Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? ¹⁵And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? ¹⁶And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said,  I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. ¹⁷Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, ¹⁸And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

Ephesians 4: Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children  ² and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. ³ But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.  ⁴ Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.  ⁵ For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.  ⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.  ⁷ Therefore do not be partners with them.

Homosexuality is immoral and the Word says that the immoral have NO INHERITANCE in the Kingdom of God. In this passage, the Bible even predicts that there will be preachers who try deceive you about this concept – but God’s wrath is promised upon them – we are warned not to be partners with them.

 1 Tim 5: ⁵Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

 

Make no mistake. We are ALL sinners. We ALL have to seek by God’s grace His forgiveness, which includes REPENTING of our sin – repenting means to turn away from that sin. In respect of homosexuals, we are commanded to love them as much as we love ourselves by preaching the Gospel to them so that they may be saved. We cannot stop a homosexual from coming to church – that is where they are supposed to hear the Truth. We are supposed to love them, encourage them and help them in every way we can…. TOWARDS REPENTANCE AND SALVATION.

 It is impossible, according to the Word of God, that a practising homosexual person can be born again in Christ, ie: without having repented. Nevertheless, there are clear instructions in the Bible on how to deal with a “brother” (fellow believer) who is found in sin – and this is almost exclusively forgotten by Pastors of today. Jesus said:
Matt 18: ¹⁵ “If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.  ¹⁶ But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’  ¹⁷ If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector. ie: EXPEL them from the church.

 1 Cor 5: ⁹ I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people—  ¹⁰ not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world.  ¹¹ But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. ¹² What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?  ¹³ God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”

This is an important Scripture – we are told that WE, the fellowship of believers, are to judge those within our own ranks. We are told that a fellow believer should be judged of his sin according to Matt 18 and should he not repent, he is to be expelled by the leader of the church! A homosexual person, who calls himself a believer, and does not repent must be EXPELLED from the church.

 

FAMINE
What we also need to understand about the end-times, is the fact that God will send a famine of the Word of God to the world.
Amos 8: ¹¹ “The days are coming,” declares the Sovereign LORD, “when I will send a famine through the land— not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD. ¹² Men will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east, searching for the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.

The hearing of the Gospel and the words of the Lord will be largely absent - a JUDGEMENT on the world. Reading the Bible and not being able to understand it will be a JUDGEMENT of God. This is exactly what is happening today. Ministers, preachers and pastors have little idea of what the Word of God actually says, rather they preach what their congregation wants to hear, for fear of offending, for fear of being seen as intolerant or unloving. And what will the result of this be?

Ezekiel prophesied in chapter 9: Then the LORD called to the man clothed in linen who had the writing kit at his side  ⁴ and said to him, “Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.” ⁵ As I listened, he said to the others, “Follow him through the city and kill, without showing pity or compassion.  ⁶ Slaughter old men, young men and maidens, women and children, but do not touch anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were in front of the temple. ⁷ Then he said to them, “Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go!” So they went out and began killing throughout the city.  ⁸ While they were killing and I was left alone, I fell facedown, crying out, “Ah, Sovereign LORD! Are you going to destroy the entire remnant of Israel in this outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?” ⁹ He answered me, “The sin of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great; the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of injustice. They say, ‘The LORD has forsaken the land; the LORD does not see.’  ¹⁰ So I will not look on them with pity or spare them, but I will bring down on their own heads what they have done.

The Final Judgement of God will rightly begin in the House of God, in His church, with who? With the false teachers, who do not lament at the detestable things that are done in it. What is an example of something so detestable that warrants death and destruction?

Lev 18: ²² ”‘Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. Homosexual behaviour is detestable, according to the Word of God.

 God destroyed an entire city with Sulphur and fiery brimstone because of their Homosexuality – remember Sodom and Gomorrah in Gen 19? – where does the word SODOM come from? Not from SODOMY!? Surely not!?

Is it vaguely possible that God has changed His mind concerning one of the most abominable sins throughout the entire Bible? A sin that warranted God’s wrath on an entire city? How can so-called “men of God” be even thinking the way they are? Their judgement is coming upon them quickly.

2 Peter 2: discusses these False teachers and what they can expect:
But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.  ² Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.  ³ In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. ⁴ For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment;  ⁵ if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others;  ⁶ if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;  ⁷ and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men  ⁸ (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—  ⁹ if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.  ¹⁰ This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority.

Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings;  ¹¹ yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of the Lord.  ¹² But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish.

¹³ They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.  ¹⁴ With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed—an accursed brood!  ¹⁵ They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness.  ¹⁶ But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey—a beast without speech—who spoke with a man’s voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.

¹⁷ These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them.  ¹⁸ For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error.  ¹⁹ They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.  ²⁰ If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.  ²¹ It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.  ²² Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud.”

 Having read through the Document entitled “Christians and same-sex relationships”, my spirit is grieved to the point of tears. I lament at the state of modern day “Christianity”, where such an absolute doctrine in the Word of God is now challenged by the “church” worldwide. Just 50 years ago, churches still followed the Word of God, which forbids women preachers. A lot has happened since then. Homosexuality has been pronounced as acceptable behaviour, even by the church!  Now there are Homosexual priests – and moves worldwide to ordain them. Sincere, these people may be, but they are sincerely deceived, and they remain deceived along with anyone who follows them.

 Many Methodist Ministers are kind and loving people, with admirable outreach projects and faithfulness towards their communities in serving them. However having said that, many of their teachings are questionable. What is greatly disturbing to the point of tears is the fact that our family members are being led by so-called “Reverends”, so-called “men of God” - people who are apparently so devoid of truth that they can even contemplate associating themselves and their church with the blasphemous trite of the document in question. Anyone with a heart true to God would immediately and unequivocally dissociate themselves from this heresy, let alone confront their innocent congregants with the confusion of it’s psycho-babble. Unfortunately, that is all this document is, seductive heresy, cloaking major sin with the unbiblical precepts of modern day psychology.

And faithful to the Word should the congregants be, who through their simple reading and reasoning, should be correctly questioning what they are being taught, should be testing the spirits whether they be of God (and in this respect they are clearly NOT), and for this, they will, according to the Word of God, be rewarded for their search for the Truth. What worries me is that if these ministers can even think of doing what they do, what other myths and heresies are they prepared to compromise with and lead their flock astray, directed by an Apostate Methodist heirarchy? What about those in the flock who aren’t so clever, who take what they say as Gospel? How about the mark of the beast? Will they allow their congregants to receive the mark in the name of love? What other doctrinal heresies are they going to just fudge over in the name of love?

Sincerely deceived, but nevertheless…. deceived…. and awaiting judgement – by the WORD.

Jesus said “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; ⁵ for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.”

 The sad thing is that this document is not a “Discussion guide” at all, as it so seductively misleads. This article is a means of brainwashing the Methodist followers into accepting it as a loving document. It is an article that has been accepted as passed already (as it’s language, resources and research clearly indicates), it is written already; many of the standpoints and suggestions it makes WILL be written into it’s constitution in 2005, of that there is no doubt; the recommendations it makes are so blatantly biased and unbiblical, that one might question the very salvation of the people behind it:
– The Methodist church is fast on it’s way to joining the Anglicans and Catholics in their blatant disobedience to God’s Word, thereby joining the APOSTASY prophesied by Jesus in Matt 24:10.

 The final test will be this: will ministers that are within the Methodist fold, will congregants in this church be obedient enough to be led by the Holy Spirit and REJECT this blasphemy, repent and return to their FIRST LOVE, the Word of God? That is the ultimate test.
John Wesley must be turning in his grave. For goodness sake, we are WORSE than Sodom and Gomorrah! At least they didn’t have homosexual priests! The end cannot be far away.  Judgement Day is coming soon.

 I have a vision of pastors tearing pages out of the Bible that they think no longer bear reference to today’s society and norms. They tore and tore, until there was one page left…. It read:
